Silvretta Alps - The classic Austrian ski touring journey with Tania Noakes IFMGA Guide
27 Feb 26 - 6 March 26
The Classic Silvretta Ski Traverse is a justifiably famous journey. The Silvretta mountains of Austria still retain a few small glaciers, so we will need to take crevasse rescue equipment. The terrain has many small cols which are easily accessible on skis and make enjoyable ski descents without being too committing or too steep. There are also some summits which are accessible for those with winter mountaineering experience with ice axe and crampons.
This trip is for ladies who have experience ski-touring on day tours or using manned huts and would like a progressive and supported first multi-day ski journey. We will do some warm up skiing on piste on our first day together before a short tour from the lifts brings us to our first mountain hut.

Amazing sport climbing (single pitch suitable for beginners) in a stunning setting.
This meet is being coordinated by Tania Noakes who is based on Sardinia.
Please contact her for details around any possible instruction requirements and accommodation options.
This is meet is open to those new to rock climbing, or those who would like some instruction to build confidence.
Tania is able to offer a 3 day ‘boost your climbing’ course at the start of the week. With 4 people in a group it would cost 300 Euros each. We’d love to invite those newer to climbing along.
A club joining fee of £35 (covers you for all meets in 2026) will be required for BMC club insurance due to this being a peer to peer trip

Climbing, Scrambling and the Cuillin Munros
There will be a variety of instructed courses as well as the opportunity for a start of the week skills check before being independent with peers.
Bunkhouse accommodation available for 20 people. £230 each for 7 nights.
You will also need to join WAAC as a member as this meet has peer led activity. This will be £35 for 2026.
